My name is Tristan Hockey and I am Seventeen years old, I am a competition clay shooter and began my shooting career six years ago. I am from Greenhithe in Kent, when I began clay shooting I attended local shoots in the area to gain experience and get into the competition environment.
I started shooting tuition with my Dad Scott Batcheldor at Dartford Clay Shooting Club. I have been training at the club every week for the last four years and have been given all the knowledge and understanding and this has lead me to become a , British Colt champion and English Colt champion in several disciplines. I am now travelling around the country every weekend attending as many competitions as possible and competing against the most experienced clay shooters on the clay pigeon shooting circuit.
When I first started clay shooting I was assigned to the C class category, since then I have progressed through B and A class and I have now moved into A & AA class in many disciplines, and this has all been achieved in the five years I have been shooting.

My biggest goal is to become a Sporting World Champion and take the number one ranking in the clay pigeon shooting sport at some stage of my shooting career.
How I train:-
I am gaining experience in all areas of shooting and understanding more about what makes a champion. I am also getting the opportunity to shoot 100 practice clays a week through sponsorship from Dartford Clay Shooting Club which is bringing my shooting on rapidly I use the practice clays mainly on registered skeet to keep my timing spot on along with two / three competitions a week in 2021 this has also improved my shooting massively and has made me a lot more consistent. This also means that I am available to shoot all major competitions and travel abroad next year 2022 as a junior.
I am 100% dedicated to my shooting career and focused on what I need to achieve, I am fully backed by my parents to attend all of the major competitions and train as hard as I can for 2022.
