Ronnie Green - British Open Sporting 2015

Well done to Ronnie for his podium finish and his performance and integrity shown at the British Open Sporting 2015.

Day 1 was the 120 bird sporting course of which Ronnie put a strong score of 99/120 leaving him in 2nd place for the day behind Brody Woollard who's scored 102/120 and George Townsend 96/120 3rd all three scores were worthy of a senior performance and put them in the Colts Super Final on the Sunday.

Day 2 Super Final was a 75 target final starting from scratch the previous days score was irrelevant and it was a  time to focus as the course was a stiff one.

Ronnie went out and shot with Amy Easeman and Brody Woollard and managed to score a 52/75 while Amy scored a 54/75 and Brody 49/75.

While shooting both Ronnie and Brody were disputed a target that the crowd and other shooters clearly saw the target break (no disrespect to the referee but from his position would of made it hard for him to see). The referee asked both lads did they hit the target even know many others stated that it was hit including other competitors parents, but as they were concentrating on the second target both boys said that they could not be 100% sure they had and they were scored as losses, in the grand scheme of things the scores would not of mattered but I think this shows great integrity and sportsmanship from two up and coming young shooters.

Ronnie had to wait throughout the day as other colts were still out on the course shooting and George Townsend in particular.

The scores came in and George hit a good 56/75 which won him Gold, Amy's 54/75 was enough for Silver and Ronnie 52/75 held for a Bronze.

Congratulations to George Townsend and Amy Easeman and also to Brody for his superb 101/120 on day 1.

Ronnie's Score also bagged him a top 10 finish in A class finished 8th overall.

And a big congratulations to Ronnie for another top 3 triumph in a major, Ronnie has turned in some great performances this year and here at Dartford we are so very proud of him not only for his performance on the courses but the way he puts himself across as a young man. The season is coming to a close and after Ronnie's most successful year as a Colt it proves hard work pays off.

Big thank you to Ronnie's parents John & Joanne Green who have literally chauffeured him all around the country this season spent many an hour on the road and also to Scott for the serious amount of his time that has gone into Ronnie's development over the last 7 months and teaching him how to succeed in not just one discipline. Also to Tony Coulstock who has been his shooting sidekick in many events this season.

Well done RONBO, a very strong year with consistent performances, you have learnt how to succeed.
